Visitors coming to Pleiku City at the heart of Gia Lai Province in the Central Highlands of Vietnam will easily fall in love with Bien Ho (or T’Nung lake), the grand lake located only 7km from the city center.
Bien Ho was originally the tip of a deactivated volcano but the rains of tens of thousand of years have created a giant, deep and clear-blue lake on the roof of the sky at a height of over 1,000 thousand meters above sea level.
Surrounding the lake is a never-ending pine forest. From the banks of the lake, tourists will feel like they are on a beach thanks to the cool and comfortable breeze blown from nowhere. However, a quick reality check and they will realize they are in one of the most beautiful places you can imagine.
Visitors can also take a short canoe trip around the lake for a very small fee.
