The national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, launched a direct air route, connecting Moscow of Russia and central coastal Nha Trang of Vietnam, on January 28.
The new direct route will create favourable conditions for Russian tourists as well as other foreigners wishing to visit beauty spots in central southern region of Vietnam, thus helping realise the national tourism strategy.
The first flight will be scheduled for April 5 with one weekly flight on Friday in summer, using Boeing 777-200. The frequency will be two flights a week as from the next winter.
On this occasion, the carrier will launch promotion campaign, offering a 10 percent discount for two-way tickets for the route until June 30.
