This castle was built as the resident of Hoang Yen Chao (and his son Hoang A Tuong). It has two-floor, and also functions as a fortress. From afar, tourists can easily see the white castle standing vividly against the blue sky and the green fields of Lao Cai.

Hoang Yen Chao castle

Hoang Yen Chao Castle has a high fence, deep trenches and blockhouses, as well as invincible defending towers used to protect the castle from the enemies in the past. Nowadays, time has swept away those wonderful features.

This is the great tourism destination in Sapa which you should not miss when traveling in Sapa.
