The People’s Committee of Da Nang City revealed it has raised VND14.5 billion so far from sponsors for the international fireworks contest 2013 (DIFC 2013).
VND7.5 billion of the money was raised from 30 companies while the rest of the sponsorship has come from nine companies for services and products.
DIFC 2013 themed “A love for Han River” will have five teams competing over the nights of April 29-30. The first night is for the Russians, Italians and hosts Danang and the next night is for Japanese and American teams. The organizers also approve the project to build several areas to serve spectators. The A, B stands which are located at the main stage can contain 19,500 people and the C stand which is located to the North of the A-B area has a capacity of 17,700.
The organizer will issue 25,000 tickets priced at VND400,000 for B4-B5 stands and VND300,000, VND250,000 and 200,000 for C1, C2 and C3 stands respectively. Moreover, the city authority also allows tourist boats to sell tickets priced at VND300,000 to tourists to admire fireworks on board – but they have to guarantee safety and service quality.
In the framework of the event, there is a food exchange, lighting display, flower boat parade and music and fashion programs.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also announced a price list of all the hotels in Da Nang during the event at www.cst.danang.gov.vn or www.danangtourism.gov.vn.
