Cat Ba archipelago located in Hai Phong city which consists of 367 small islands include Cat Ba Island (also call pearl island) is the most famous tourist island. 1. Sea bathing
From center of Cat Ba town, you can walk or catch “xe om”, electric car (all around VND 10,000) to go to the beaches: Cat Co 1, Cat Co 2 and Cat Co 3. These beaches are not so large, but discreet and clear water. The beaches are connected by a small road along the mountainside. In Cat Ba island, after 6:30pm officer will not allow you to swim for safety (because of tide grow up very fast).
2. Coral diving
Under the foot reef coral island has many valuable sea red as abalone, pearl, spiny lobsters and the colorful fish bring this place exceptional luster. Join scuba diving center at Monkey Island Resort (Monkey island), diving with trainer, and the price for 30 minutes is VND 600,000 (snorkel include).
3. Walking on the beach at night
It would be great if you rent bicycles or motorcycles to run along the beach city, breathe fresh air (the price for bicycles 4 sits about VND 30,000/hour). However, at the weekend, electric car, bicycle and motorcycle will be banned so you just can walk. Some visitors prefer strolling along the coastal mountain road connecting the three main beaches in the evening to immerse in the cold of the sea at night.
4. Visit Lan Ha bay
Lan Ha bay has many small islands rising above the sea and the cave systems similar to Ha Long bay. But according to many tourists, visiting Lan Ha Bay is more interesting than Ha Long Bay because of it still keep the wild scene. You can visit the fishing village or try kayaking trip on the beautiful bay of Hai Phong city.

5. Visit Monkey island
There are many monkeys in this island, so Monkey island is suitable for guests with children group. It’s also has a beautiful beach as Cat Dua beach, this is the nicest satellite beaches of Cat Ba island, the water here is clear and clean.
6. Climbing
This is a kind of adventure tourism attracts intrepid tourists to Cat Ba. The place is preferred climbing including: Dau Be island (it takes about 2 hours to get there from the port of Cat Ba by boat); cliff at Ben Beo wharf (about 2 km from the center of Cat Ba), Ba Trai Dao island (about 22 km from Cat Ba port).
7. Visiting the caves
Da Hoa cave is located in the north eastern mountains, where residents of the community Gia Luan, north of Cat Ba Island is a popular place to visit. Though not far from residential areas, but the Da Hoa cave is still virtually intact and it’s a familiar place names in the cruise tourism research. The other attractions caves are: Trung Trang cave (about 15 km from Cat Ba northwest), Quan Y cave… with stunning stalactites multifold.
8. Sightseeing Than Cong bunker
You can catch “xe om” to get to Than Cong bunker, it’s near the Cat Co 1, 2, 3 beaches, to the panoramic view from the top of Cat Ba island.
9. Visit the Cat Ba National Park
