In Vietnam, rice is the main ingredient for daily meal, from rice Vietnamese can cook steamed rice (cơm tẻ) or sticky rice (cơm nếp). Although cooking everyday but also the Vietnamese does not always cook delicious, especially if you are not come from Vietnam so it seems a difficulty to get rice cooked properly. The delicious rice is the rice hatch enough, not too dry or too wet, especially not has burnt smell. The following recipe will help you to cook delicious steamed rice.
1. Ingredients:
– Orginal rice: 500g
– Water: 1 liter
2. Instructions:
Cook with Vietnamese traditional rice cooker: Washing rice then add rice with cold water into a pot then set it over the fire. Let it come to the boil gently, stirring it a little to prevent the rice from sticking to the pot. When the rice boils, set the fire small to let the rice just simmer. When the pot of rice is dry, heat in about 15 to 20 minutes and the rice is cooked.
Cook with Modern rice cooker: Put the rice (has washed) and water into the rice cooker then set the rice cooker in cooking mode. When the cooker switch to the warming mode that mean the rice is cooked. However you must wait for about 15 minutes for warming and the rice become to delicious.
