How to travel by bus in Ha Noi

Buses have long been a familiar means of transport of Ha No people. With many people (including foreign tourists), each bus route is an interesting traveling route in Ha Noi city.

In Ha Noi, buses appeared in mid-2001. The buses are no longer the vehicles to serve the needs of students and workers but also become a nice means of travel.

With only VND 6,000 – 40,000 ($0.3-3) for both-way. Tourist can travel without worrying about expensive. And, traveling by bus is to ensure safety as well as reducing anxiety about parking space for each person.

Below is the note when travel by Bus in Hanoi: 

– Avoid rush hour: By selecting a suitable travel time to avoid overcrowding and long wait tourist can easily catch Bus routes. The best time is from 5-6am, 8-11am and 1-5pm.

– Keep safe your money, valuable assets to avoid pickpockets (just enough, do not carry a lot).

– If you do not have a monthly ticket, you should prepare change to buy bus tickets.

– Getting off must press up light button, strictly abide by the regulations on the bus.

From My Dinh bus station:

Bus No.33: Ticket price: VND 5,000 ($0.2) /turn. Frequency: 15 minutes/bus. It goes from My Dinh bus station to the West Lake. With this bus, you can visit the West Lake, Truc Bach Lake and Tran Quoc Pagoda. After enjoying Pho (Pho Ha Noi) in Ngu Xa, you can walk along Phan Dinh Phung and Hoang Dieu street. 

From Hoang Dieu, it will go to Le Hong Phong Street, where you can stop to visit the Ho Chi Minh Museum and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

When walking along Dien Bien Phu, tourists can see the Ha Noi flag pole, Lenin Park, and at Nguyen Thai Hoc Street to the Museum of Fine Arts. From Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, tourists can catch Bus No. 2 to the Ha Noi Opera House. Then you can walk along Trang Tien Street to buy souvenirs in Hang Gai or Cau Go.

Bus No. 46: Ticket price: VND 5,000. Frequency: 15 minutes/bus.

Bus No. 46 runs to Hoa Binh Park, then along the Thang Long Bridge to the ancient citadel of Co Loa.

From Long Bien bus station:

Bus No. 15: Ticket price: VND 7,000 ($0.3). Frequency: 10 minutes. The bus runs through the Chuong Duong Bridge and down to the Dong Anh district to Soc Temple and Thanh Chuong Viet Phu Palace.

Bus 47: Ticket price: VND 7,000. Frequency: 10 minutes. This bus goes along the Red River dike to the Bat Trang pottery village.

From Yen Nghia bus station:

Bus 75: Ticket price: VND 20,000 ($1). Frequency: 30 minutes. This bus goes along Highway 21B to Huong (Perfume) Pagoda.

From Tran Khanh Du parking lot:

Bus 35: Ticket price: VND 7,000. Frequency: 15 minutes.

The bus goes through Thong Nhat Park, the National Cinema Center, Metro Supermarket, Hoa Binh Park and along the North Thang Long highway to Hai Ba Trung Temple.
