How to make mixed anchovy sauce (mắm nêm)

Here is the dipping sauce recipe which helps you to make anchovy sauce (called “mắm nêm”) for your favorite dishes:

1. Ingredients

– Anchovy Sauce: 1/2 cup

– Lime juice: 2 tablespoons

– Pestled garlic: 1/2 tablespoon

– Pestled chili: 1/2 tablespoon

– Cooking oil: 1 tablespoon

– Pineapple: 1/8

– Sugar: 3 tablespoons

– Lemongrass (minced): 1 tablespoon

2. Instructions

Mix anchovy sauce and 1/2 cup of water, stir well, bring to a boil and filter to retake water. Cut off the core of the pineapple and mince.

Add a tablespoon of cooking oil to a hot skillet. Add lemongrass and garlic to brown. Then add the pineapple and sugar, quickly stir for about 2 minutes.

Add lemongrass, garlic and pineapple to the anchovy sauce. Stir well then add lime juice and chili.
