Things to note
– To truly enjoy your beach vacation, avoid visiting between October and December. This is monsoon season and will no doubt be rainy and windy.
– If you plan on enjoying the nightlife in Nha Trang, be careful. Locals often try to take advantage of the tipsy travelers, trying to pickpocket or over-charge for motorbike taxi rides.
– There aren’t any airports located in Nha Trang, so you’ll have to take a cab or shuttle from the Cam Ranh Airport, about 30 km outside of the city.

Motorbike or Cycle Tours through Nha Trang – Whether you prefer a motorized or exercise bike, seeing the city on two wheels is an excellent way to view the varied sites and landscapes. On a tour you will ride along the Cai River, see rice plantations, hills and waterfalls and tropical forests.
Kid-Friendly Activities
National Oceanographic Museum of Vietnam – This is the place to go and bring your children if you want to see water creatures as well as the coral reef that Vietnam is home to. It is set up like an aquarium and is a perfect place to bring kids. Keep in mind that there is an admission fee and is open from 7AM-4PM daily.
Vinpearl Land – Vinpearl Land is basically a combined aquarium, amusement park and water park – a must-go destination for any child. Watch your kids enjoy the water-slides, roller coasters and rides during the day, and the laser-light and water show at night. The admission price is 450,000 dong and includes all attractions.
Glass Bottom Boats – Experience the beauty of the underwater world without actually diving or snorkeling. Taking a hassle-free trip on this boat is a much safer way for your family to see the beauty of the coral reef and underwater life than snorkeling and diving.
Beach Adventures
Diving – Diving is a must-do for the adventurous type visiting Nha Trang. Under water you will have spectacular views of the coral reef and all of its marine inhabitants. One of the best places to do this is near the Mum Marine Park in the southern area of Nha Trang Bay.
Snorkeling – If scuba-diving seems a little too intense snorkeling is your best bet for experiencing the gorgeous underwater reefs of Nha Trang. The bay here isn’t too deep, so you will be able to see the beautiful underwater landscape without diving deep.
Parasailing – What better way to see the Nha Trang coastline and skyline as well as the ocean and small islands than by parasailing? The view and the experience is something you won’t likely forget.
Jet Skiing and Kayaking – Both Jet Skis and Kayaks can be rented and used to enjoy the sea and travel to the tiny islands sprinkled throughout the bay of Nha Trang.
Nha Trang is the place to visit and enjoy the ocean, city-life and a host of ocean adventures. When planning your visit to Vietnam, don’t miss this beautiful vacation spot and enjoy the gorgeous views, amazing marine life and all that the Nha Trang has to offer.
