Located in Lac Duong district, Dam Rong district, Lam Dong province, approximate 50km along the highway 723 to the city of Da Lat. Bi Doup – Nui Ba National Park ranks among the five largest national parks of Vietnam, covering 64,800 ha of forest. This is the national park is home to the oldest primordial forest in the Central Highlands.
Bi Doup – Nui Ba National Park is one of twenty-eight national parks in the system of special-use forests in Vietnam. Bi Doup – Nui Ba colonial administrative boundaries Lac Duong District, accounted for almost the entire plateau Langbiang (also called Lam Vien Plateau). It is recognized by scientists as one of the 221 endemic centers of the world and is one of four centers of biodiversity of Vietnam (Hoang Lien Son mountain, Ngoc Linh in the central high, rainforest areas in northern and Lam Vien Plateau in the south).
Bi Doup – Nui Ba National Park contains 10 out of 11 endangered species of pine, as well as the largest orchid gene pool in the county, with 250 different species. Among the most distinctive features of Lang Bian forests are its bulls, that once reigned over the forest in herds of six or seven. Scientists believe that only one or two of these enormous creations, diameter 2.5m, weighing nearly one tonne and still live in the park.
