VietnamSurprise – There are 3 subjects in the Sapa street festival 2013 including Sapa Flower Forest, Friend Welcome Panpine Melody and H’mong Panpine Festival. The festival will take place on November 11, in the town of Sapa, Lao Cai province.
With the theme for 2013 is “Sapa colorful”, the festival will be the first large-scale street festival in the resort town with many special activities to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the Sapa tourism. There are more than 450 artists and actors will participate in the festival, of which there are 300 students of the Lao Cai School of Culture – Arts and Tourism.
Sapa street festival 2013 will be held in the main streets of Sapa town, where the dances and songs of ethnic Tay, Hmong, Dao, Giay peoples in the themes of Sapa – wine, Sapa flower forest, Sapa panpine, H’mong pan-pie festivals and terrace field culture will be performed.
Coming here, tourists will see artisans of traditional villages in Sapa introducing the unique culture of their ethnic groups and taste unique cuisines of Sapa.
This street festival will be held to promote sustainable tourism, attract tourists to Sapa, honor intangible cultural heritages and contribute to traditional education, conservation and promotion of cultural and ethnic identity.
