Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort & Spa located on the ancient trading port in central Vietnam where is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will host the annual Kite Ninth on May 18, 2013. Expected to have more than 160 artisans from Hoi An, Da Nang, Hue and other provinces participated in this colorful contest.
The competitors can test their choice for a suitable subject, reflecting the culture of Vietnam, or celebrate their local cultural events, or tourism & sports events in Vietnam. With two contest forms, long single kite or or combined simulation and visualization objects, trees, familiar objects in life. Especially, subject about beach and ecological environment protection are highly recommended during competition.
The competition from 9am to 5pm with the press conference, checking engineering investigation, design, and the main Kite event operate on the beach of Victoria Hoi An Resort & Spa. The jury will be based on three criteria in order to put points on forms, performance techniques and discipline accepted of competitors.
This event aims to create fun and recreation for tourists visiting Hoi An during the summer vacation.
The winner will receive VND 12.000.000 (US$570), while second and third places will receive VND 6.000.000 ($285) and VND 4.000.000 ($190), respectively.
