Giac Luong pagoda in Hue

The pagoda  is often called Hien Luong Temple, located in the Hien Luong village, Phong Dien, Phong Dien district, Thua Thien – Hue. It’s far from 21km from Hue City to the northwest, near the An Lu bridge. Giac Luong belongs to the Mahayana sect.

It was built by the lobbying of Mrs. Hoang Thi in first period of Le Trung Hung at Cau Be. After the villagers moved the pagoda to Phuoc Tu village. The pagoda was restored in the 1806, 1924, 1969, 1987 …

Giac Luong pagoda still holds several ancient statues in the after of Le Dynasty. The bell in Giac Luong pagoda was made in 1819 with a name engraved on the forging of artisans and mechanics as he Hoang Van Lich, Tran Van Dac, Phuoc Duong Thieu Quang Truong Horn … this is the pride of villagers.
