Hue’s craft festival from April 28 to May 1, 2013

Hue traditional craft festival themed Tinh hoa nghe Viet (Quintessence of Vietnamese handicraft villages) will take place from April 28 to May 1, reports Sai Gon Giai Phong.

For the first time, costumes and Ishizuchi black tea of Saijo, a city located in Ehime Prefecture, Japan will come on display at the event.

Moreover, France joins the event with an exhibition featuring five techniques in the garment and textile industry, ribbon making, velvet and wrinkle-making techniques and carpet designs.

During the event, local fashion and event company Viet Bao QB will launch a tour to discover Hue’s cultural traits to travelers, including the art of making ao dai (Vietnamese long dress), Hue-style singing, lotus tea and Hue-style cakes and traditional musical instruments’ performance at Kim Long ancient village.

The tour is expected to take place monthly on the 30th lasting 60 minutes.
