VietnamSurprise – Sung Sot is the most beautiful and majestic cave on the bay and to reach the site travelers can buy tickets at Bai Chay’s tourist wharf in Ha Long City or rent a private boat.
Once you disembark you have to climb up over 100 stiff and slippery stone steps to reach the cave’s entrance. The cave, discovered by the French in 1901, is divided into three spaces and covers an area of over 10,000 square meters. It has beautiful stalactites and stones in different and unique shapes that tourists can imagine to be Happy Buddha, a horse’s footsteps and a sword, among others.
In 2012, Sung Sot was voted one of the world’s most beautiful caves by The Association of Czech Travel Agents.
