VietnamSurprise – The Van Long Nature Reserve is the largest wetland delta region of Northern – Vietnam. This nature reserve is located in an area of 2,643 hectares in the northeast of the Gia Vien district – Ninh Binh province.

At this reserve, there are 457 species of plants, and eight of which are listed in Vietnam’s Red Book. 39 species of animals, including nine precious species such as languor, chamois, Tibetan bear, red-face monkey and Loris. It is not only famous for its nature reserve, but there are many cultural sites in the area. By standing on the dyke, tourists can view large areas of water. And imposing mountains can be seen in the far distance.
Tourists who want to discover Van Long should go by boat to view scenery of mountains of Nghien, Hom Sach, Da Ban, Voi Dung, Co Tien, Meo Cao, Canh Cong and Moi Coi.
There are 32 beautiful caves in Van Long site, including Shade, Fish, Lemon caves and Tortoise. The most beautiful cave is the Fish cave at the foot of Hoang Quyen Mount. There are many species of fish live in the cave.
