How many kinds of Tofu in Vietnam?

Tofu is made from soya beans. People use many kinds of tofu to cook. Tofu needs to be eaten with seasoning or sauce because it doesn’t have any taste.

Firm Tofu is marinated with seasoning (lemongrass, pepper, salt) and fried until golden. This is a very popular dish and we can also buy fried Tofu. Besides, there is a kind of Tofu called “dried bean curd sheet”. This is a kind of Tofu pressed into thin pieces and dried. Dried bean curd sheet (tàu hũ ky) is soaked in water and then cut into lengths or thin pieces to cook soups (vegetarian Vietnamese noodles, vegetarian noodles) or mix with other raw materials to make vegetarian spring rolls, scrolled raw vegetables. Because Tofu is rich in proteins, it is used to replace meat and fish in vegetarian dishes. Of course, Tofu can also be cooked with meat or fish, which is very delicious.
