Canyoning is navigating your way through a canyon. In this case, canyoning is an activity that includes hiking, swimming, water sliding, abseiling and jumping but abseiling is the main thing. This canyoning in dalat is one of the most interesting activities in Dalat.
You’ll need some special skills for abseiling but it isn’t very difficult. For trekking and mountain biking you need strong legs, rock climbing you need strong arms but in the canyoning trip, you need only a strong heart to win yourself.
Canyoning experts will train you on how to set the rope for the descent and how to abseil safely in an easy way. You will learn the basics of knot tying, harness wearing and abseiling techniques.
Following a hotel pick-up, you will drive south to the thrills that await. Upon arrival, warm up with your first dry abseiling run down a 59-foot (18-meter) high descent. Your next dry rappel is a jaw-dropping 49 feet (15 meters). Then, it’s time to cool down and get some water on your skin; so jump in and enjoy some free time swimming, before a picnic lunch.
When guides are satisfied that you have got it down, you’ll head down to your first rappel which is an exciting 18 metres abseil, vertical dry cliff near a beautiful waterfall.
After that you will head further down to the 3 metres cliff jump and the first water sliding. We’ll take our time having a couple of goes at it before we go to the second dry cliff for a 16 metres abseil, it is a wonderful cliff for abseiling techniques and jumping techniques.
Look out for butterflies and squirrels among the tropical vegetation. Take souvenir photos from the wooden bridge, then get ready for your afternoon activities.
It’s time to turn up the dial and do some real canyoning, exploring the 82-foot (25-meter) high waterfall, with a 46-foot (14-meter) jump into the water from the rocky cliffs as your reward. Your final rappel is the most difficult; descend 52 feet (16 meters) from “The Washing Machine,” named for the fierce waters that rush past you.
The last abseil is the most special one. It’s nick name: Washing Machine (16m), the waterfall spins you around, makes your body clean and pushes you out of the waterfall before hiking up to the highway.
Relax once more and swim in the pools at the base of the waterfall, before a short walk back through the jungle to rejoin your transfer van to Da Lat.
