War remnants museum Ho Chi Minh city

This museum was established in September 1975 with precursor is place to showcase American war crimes, 1998. The war remnants Museum is recognized as one of the 61 museums that belongs to the system of “Museum for peace” of the world. Locating at No 28 Vo Van Tan, District 3, Ho Chi Minh city, based on the exhibits, visitors can see part of the fierce war as well as steadfast of Vietnam.

Currently, the War Remnants Museum is an unit belongs to the Ho Chi Minh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Located in the museum system of Vietnam, the War Remnants Museum is place for researching, collection, storing, preserving and showing the materials, photographs and exhibits about the evidence of crimes and the consequences of the war that the invasion forces had done to Vietnam. Thereby, the Museum educate the public, especially the younger generation about the spirit of the struggle for independence and freedom of the country, the anti-war sense, peace protection and solidarity friendship between the people on over the world.

The Museum is storing more than 20,000 documents, exhibits and films, in which more than 1,500 documents, exhibits, films have been introduced in the 8 subjects that are exhibited regularly. In 35 years, the Museum has welcomed over 15 million domestic and oversea visitors. Currently, with about 500,000 visitors each year, the War Remnants Museum is one of attractive cultural tourism address.
